The current dip in commodity, gas and stock markets has turned the investors to the rising USD. The credit rating agencies are busy downgrading all major financial and political authorities in the EU paralyzing the investment capacity that the EU once had. The falling prices of precious metals has led to the fading status of them being a safe haven investment but how long is actually going to stay like this? The abundance of paper silver has severely devalued physical silver and with recent lows of sub $29/oz. the trade volumes have been of astronomical proportions. The volume of silver in bullion form is a rather small residual of silver mining industry. Due to the increased trading volumes since September, the current system of silver pricing is going to collapse.
So the question still stands, if silver is worth investing and the answer is YES to physical silver and NO to paper silver (silver bonds). The current way of trading silver as a commodity has highly diluted the real value of silver. The recent drop of silver prices and the abundance of paper silver has only made physical silver a commodity worth investing. The volatility in recent times is not for the ones with a weak heart. The mining stocks have performed only moderately in the last quarter with lower earnings compared to last year when the market was much more bullish. Silver Technical Analysis gives you the recent insight on what transformations Silver prices have undergone due to the downturn of EU. The weaker markets have had a massive impact on industry and mining sectors and while the financial institutions get their act together in North America and Europe, commodities will consolidate over a period of time during which major bailouts within and outside of EU are going to happen trying to regain consumer confidence. All this might very well be too late but if this financial crises are fought seeking a more global and sustainable solution then we MIGHT delay the inevitable. The current credit system needs a major overhaul giving value to more resource based economies like Canada. Canada has a substantial on and off shore mining infrastructure makes it a economy that comes under global spotlight. Where silver is headed to ? What are the next significant levels of support and resistance? Are we going to see different spot prices for physical and paper silver? if yes, then how soon? These are some really important questions that Silver investors have wondered for decades. The big banks finally breaking down has tabled the flaws of the banking system in the US. The Euro is on life support and will never be as powerful as it used to be at one point.
Silver is highly under appreciated while Gold enjoys a safe haven tag. What the experts believe is this could very well be the last time you will see sub $30/oz prices. Start accumulating physical silver. ”A bank is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather and ask for it back when it begins to rain”.

Dr. Ron Paul – America’s New Leader?
Ron Paul might be giving Romney a reason to work harder
Ron Paul, one of the Republican parties front runners when discussing economic matters from a libertarians point of view. Ron Paul seems to be garnering much attention, with his beliefs on social and economic issues being very unorthodox – almost unlike any other congressional members stance. For one, Ron Paul is considered to be a libertarian, and seeks to cultivate what he calls personal freedoms for all American citizens. He wants to put an end to inflationary spending, the Federal Reserve, and many other federal bureau’s and offices. In a way, Ron Paul wants to bring America back to it’s constitution. If you were to listen to one of his speeches, you’d hear how he calls todays politics and times a far stray away from what the original founding fathers had in mind for America – granted the times aren’t exactly the same either and the founding fathers couldn’t have accounted for the booms in many different areas such as education, technology, and industry. What does Ron Paul mean for America today? And – can we visualize a future with Ron Paul leading the Republican party back to victory?
Some voters are afraid of Paul’s policies. If you listen to Rick Santorum when he discusses Paul’s foreign policy – he’ll mention how leaving all of these international bases and ignoring global crisis’ we will create power vacuums where other regimes can move in. It will create a feeling of vulnerability for Americans, seeing how they’ve always engaged in one form of war for the past 30 years. There has always been controversy over Paul, even dating back to the 1990′s when there was reports of a Ron Paul Report circulating certain areas of California. This “report” was an informal news letter, intended to inform, or perhaps mislead – as it had many racist and sexist remarks. When confronted with these accusations today, Ron Paul denies them. Rightfully so – it wouldn’t be advisable for a Republican party front runner to be associated with such slander.
Ron Paul is a gentle man in his disposition. Years of training and working as a medical doctor allow Dr. Paul to have a compassionate demeanour and it’s perhaps his natural charisma which reaches out to young people and affects them. Ron Paul has said, it is the young people of this country who wish to be free. While Ron Paul has very conservative social views, he feels it is not his position to be influencing the social values of others as it is a violation of their personal freedoms. On issues such as abortion and gay marriage, he feels these issues should not be dealt with by the federal government and should be left up to the states. While this can be a controversial topic itself – whether or not states can police themselves and ensure human rights are respected across the United States can prove to be a difficult task. Dr. Paul is against abortions, also known as being pro-life – in his personal life. He’s made campaign advertisements to communicate these points. It can send a confusing signal though, since voters shouldn’t be concerned about his social views if he is a true, stand up libertarian who is there to ensure their personal liberties are respected – rather then Dr. Paul’s.
While we move forward to the Republican candidacy race, to see who will face up with Barack Obama it will be interested to keep an eye on Dr. Ron Paul. He is a very unorthodox politician, the kinds of which come around rarely and have the potential to really stir up the system we all work and play by. There are a lot of points that did not even get mentioned in this article, which deserve much more attention. One of which, is his view on legalizing marijuana and other recreational drugs. Granted, that’s much easier said then done – it can be one of Dr. Paul’s dealbreakers when it comes to convincing a certain voting demographic. Kinds of promises like these can have huge effects on society and how they perceive you as their leader. Similiarly, it’s interesting to note what will happen to Rick Santorum now that he’s claimed he’ll eliminate pornography within the United States if elected to presidency. We’ll have to wait and see what will happen, but for now, we’ll continue following Ron Paul and seeing where his campaign trail takes America.
